What?! I thought the release date was NEXT Tuesday. This is one time I am happy to be wrong! REVOLUTIONARY is out in bookstores and on Kindles and Nooks. Whoopee!
But I still want to give some copies away. So here we go: Tell me what you think is the best ending to a series – book OR movie. Leave your comments below.
Winners will be chosen at random and will be announced Friday morning.
Well, I loved many endings to series, but most recently I loved the ending to the The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare
Oooh, I haven’t read that series. I’ll have to check it out! Thanks!!
The first one that came to mind was “Rilla of Ingleside” from the “Anne of Green Gables” series. I just love Rilla and she grows so much through the book.
I love Anne of Green Gables!! But I haven’t read Rilla’s story. I want to now, though!! Man, my TBR pile is growing like crazy. I love it!
I have to agree the ending of The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare had me in tears until the very end it is one of my all time favorites ending in a book! Now I can not wait to read the ending of The Mortal Instrument Series! thanks for the awesome giveaway!
Now I REALLY need to read The Infernal Devices. think my kids would mind if I went MIA for a few days???
I think that the best ending to a series is the third book of the Ascendance trilogy by Jennifer Nielsen. The books are so good! The first one is the False Prince. 🙂 and of course I have LOVED all of your books! I’m sure my new favorite will be Revolutionary! Can’t wait to read it! If your first three books count as a trilogy, they’re by far my favorite! I wish that there were more books with Addy, Kara, and Natalia in them!
Thanks, Hailey, for the kind words and the book recs! Looking forward to checking those out!
The Son By Louis Lowry, not exactly a series but more of a compilation with The Giver, The Messenger, and Gathering Blue. I absolutley loved how The Son tied all the books together and getting to revisit characters from one of my favorite books (The Giver).
I didn’t know about The Son….and I love The Giver!! Adding it to my TBR pile!
The end to the Harry Potter series was very satisfying. However, probably the best ending to a book series is the end of the Chronicles of Narnia. They’re in heaven; you can’t get much better than that.
You are right, Emma!! That is the ultimate “Happily Ever After”!
I think one of my favorite endings to a book series would be SummerHill Secrets by Beverly Lewis. It has such a sweet ending. (It’s also the series that got me hooked on reading!) Although Robin Jones Gunn has since written more about the characters, I loveee the ending of the Christy Miller series. I almost cried (happy tears of course)!
Ahh, Beverly Lewis and Robin Jones Gunn — love those authors!
I would have to say that the ending of the series Halflings written by Heather Burch is my favourite. I like it because it wraps everything up. It makes me emotional and I still cry every time I read it because one of my favourite characters sacrifices his life for the main character.
Heather Burch is a terrific writer. Have you read her new novel, One Lavender Ribbon? It is beautiful.
Well I know Divergent and The Fault in Our Stars won’t make this list.
I read so many books for reviews but have enjoyed your books so far, now to read the ending.
Another great series was all the Rick Riordan books, all were great. We also enjoyed Stranded by Jeff Probst.
Yes, Divergent and TFIOS are sad sad sad. I haven’t read the others. Adding to list…;)
Love your books by far…not sure of the ending in this series, but I’m sure it is going to rank up there for sure! The ending that comes to mind would be the “Chronicles of Narnia” for me. I know where they end…in Heaven! Thanks for the giveaway! I would love to win!
The best series ending had to be the Christy Miller Series by Robin Jones Gunn. You would have to read the whole series to understand the significance. But Christy goes on a mission trip with some friends as soon as they were leaving for their location she had to take a train across Europe to go to Spain instead of Ireland. When she finally reaches Spain her longtime boyfriend who she broke up with over 6 months before because he felt like God was calling him to the mission field picks her up at the train station. That had to be the best series ending ever!
Thanks for this giveaway. The ending of the series : The Winter Rose was unexpected and I await another book which was memorable and wonderful.
I think the ending to PSYCH (T.V. show) was one of the best endings ever. Loved it! 🙂
I really enjoyed the entire Swipe series by Evan Angler, really kept me on the edge of my seat!! Although Anne of Green Gables series and the Narnia series will always be treasured in our home .
The Lauren Holbrook series by Erynn Mangum had a very satisfying ending! After all, nothing can go wrong when there is coffee and chocolate involved! 🙂
The first thing that comes to mind is The Return of the King (both the book and the movie were excellent!). I usually don’t like it when a trilogies comes to an end, but I loved the way Tolkien ended the Hobbit’s journey. Thanks so much for the opportunity to win a copy of Revolutionary!! I’m really looking forward to reading it!!
One of my favorite series the Huner Games I wasn’t really satisfied with so my next choice is the Harry Potter series, all the main characters are alive and happily married with children and you get to see the characters you grew up with children’ starting the same adventure they did in peace. I love the ending.
Any book/movie that has a surprise ending… Or when it doesn’t end in a typical American ending. (American ending = guy gets the girl, happy ever after) I felt like The Giver had an AMAZING end… So I guess that’s how I like a book/movie to end… I know, simple.. But hey!❁
I’m still in the process of reading the books, but the Lord of the Rings movies has an ending that just makes you feel like you’ve come through everything with these characters, and it’s just like you’ve been through so much together, you want to cry with them. As far as books… Among the Hidden by Margaret Peterson Haddix has an ending that just leaves you heartbroken and hopeful at the same time! It’s really something.
