How am I celebrating Luminary’s release day? By getting seven stitches :(. The actual story is pretty dull: I woke up around 3:30am feeling sick, and walked to the kitchen to get medicine. As I walked, I got really dizzy and, apparently, fell forehead first into the spot where the hall wall meets the kitchen wall. (Don’t worry: I went to the ER and got all checked out — I’m all right, just slightly anemic.)
But I need a better story. Falling into a wall is boring. So can you help me out? Give me some really great story where I am the heroine in an epic tale of bravery and courage (500 words or less; deadline 1/9). To sweeten the pot, I’ll give away a signed copy of Luminary to the author of the best submission.
So go for it. Write me a better story. Please!
How do I submit my story?
You can submit it right here . I’m looking forward to it!
Well, since no one else has commented, I supposed I will. 🙂
I’m glad to hear that you’re okay (minus the stitches)!
Lets see . . . this is going to be harder than I thought, simply because I don’t know you all that well (or at all, to be honest).
This would be easier if I could just make someone up! I do much better making up a character! lol 🙂
What would you do, I wonder?
Okay, ignore all those other words, here’s the story . . . 😀
You were taking an evening walk by a river, when you heard a couple talking nearby. You continued on, wondering why anyone else was there, since the trail you were on wasn’t a very popular one. Then you heard someone make an awful keening wail, before hearing a splash. You start to brush it off and keep walking, telling yourself that it’s not really any of your concern, that they’re probably fine and someone just fell in, but you know in your heart that you have to go back. So, you retrace your tracks and start into the trees. The sun sinks down even further, making the shadows deeper and you begin to wish that you’d thought to bring a flashlight along, but it’s too late now. You get to the river’s edge and look down, but don’t see anything, so you start walking along the river, trying to find what made the splash. You call out for someone, wondering what happened to the person who screamed, hoping they were okay. As you continue to walk, you feel as though someone is watching you, but when you look around, no one is there. “It’s just nerves,” you tell yourself. Suddenly you stop and stare, there appears to be someone in the river! It wasn’t very deep, so you start to slide down the side and wade in to see if you can help. As you get closer you realize, there is nothing you can do to help. She had been caught facedown and had somehow become tangled in a limb that was caught between some rocks. You check on them anyway, then pull out your phone to call 911, so someone can come get her out. You see there is no signal and begin climbing back up the bank, out of the river. When you get up there, you wonder how she fell in anyway? Everyone knew better than to too close to the side or they might slip and fall. Then you wonder what happened to the person with her. You had distinctly heard 2 voices – so where was her friend? Still no signal, so you began walking back to the beginning of the trail, knowing there was a pay phone there.
As you walk, more and more questions begin running through your mind. Why did her friend just leave her there? Why didn’t he try to help? Where did he disappear to? How did you not hear him walk away?
While all of this is running through your mind, you’ve stopped. When you finally look up, there’s someone standing before you. “Where did he come from?” you wonder, but just continue on. He tries to stop you, but you skirt past him, in a hurry to reach the phone. He doesn’t touch you, but stops you with 5 words, “You saw her, didn’t you?” You look at him, see his expression and start walking on, wanting to get away from him. This time, he grabs your arm and asks again, “you saw her, didn’t you?” You try to pull away as you recognize his voice – the man who left her! You start struggling when he doesn’t release you right away. You kick him and he shoves you away. You land face first and hit a rock, there’s a pain above your eye, but you don’t care. You take off running and reach the phone to call 911. The police and EMS get there, and you tell them what happened. The police find the man, where you left him, he’s sitting there head in his hands saying over and over, “I didn’t mean to push her in.” The police come back and explain to you that the couple had been arguing and he had shoved her away from him, not realizing how close she was to the edge of the bank. When she fell, he saw her head hit a rock and knew he couldn’t save her. So he ran, afraid he would be arrested for murder, even though it was an accident.
You had blood running into your eye, so the EMS takes you to the hospital, and you get 7 stitches.
The end.
Is that better than running into the wall?
I hope you feel better soon, Krista!
Blessings,
Sarah
P.S. I have no idea how many words that is, but it’s really long! Sorry, if I went over the 500 words!
Great story! Way better than running into a wall!
This might not be the story of bravery and courage that you wanted but I thought it sounded like a cool story, so I wrote it up. I hope you like.
Once upon a time, there was a royal family, a king, a queen, and a princess. In their kingdom everyone was supposed to worship the royal family. Anyone who worshipped anyone else got thrown in the dungeon, or worse. There was also a servant named Krista, who was a Christian. Krista knew that her life was in danger because she believed in God. However, she had faith that God would keep her safe. She was the queen’s maid. She waited on the queen day and night. She also gave the queen advice. One night the Queen Jessica was thinking about life. She knew there was a God, possibly multiple gods, but she didn’t know what was right. She was pretty sure that the right thing wasn’t to worship the royal family, but she didn’t know what else to do so she didn’t say anything. That night she asked Krista what she believed. Krista replied with a little bit of fear,
“I know that everyone is to worship to family, but I worship the God that created the heaven and the earth.” Queen Jessica replied,
“How do you know that He made the earth?”
“I know because it says so in his word!” Krista replied, “It says so right here in His Word.”
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” ~Genesis 1:1
“Because of this I know that God created the heaven and the earth, and He also sent his son to die for us to save our sins.” Krista told the queen.
“If what you are saying is true than are you telling me that the king and I have been misleading our kingdom by making them worship us?” The queen asked.
“Yes.” Krista replied. “Jesus came to save us all and we are to worship Him.”
“How do I accept this Savior of yours?” Queen Jessica questioned Krista.
“You pray and ask Him to save you from your sins.” Krista replied.
“Will you help me?” The queen requested.
“Of course.” Krista responded.
After this the king and queen both accepted Christ and the law was changed in the kingdom that everyone should come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior. None of this would have happened if it hadn’t been for the bravery of the servant Krista for telling the queen what she believed. The kingdom that was once misled is now shining God’s glory.
Beautiful story, Lauren!
One day, in a land pretty close to where you live in a house that looks like yours, a queen named Krista was at her computer writing her next bestseller for the people in her kingdom (earth). As she was typing chapter one something strange happened. she realized that she had been sitting at her computer a little too long and started to get dizzy and even experienced vertigo.
She got up from her desk and began to walk into the kitchen to get a cup of water when all of a sudden, she began to fall but in mid-stride she used her magical queenly powers and waved her hands in the air and the wall became a padded wall, which as she hit the wall she bounced from it, twirled in the air doing a 360 and rolled around and landed on her feet.
Well, it just so happened that an Olympic coach was standing outside and saw this amazing flip and invited queen Krista to join the team of amazing flippers and bouncers.
Over the years she gained 45 gold metals and everyday as she travels the world, she thanks the Lord for the day she felt sick and fell into the wall. She didn’t feel at the least bit clumsy because She meant to fall and become an Olympic gold medalist.
Even to this day, Queen Krista writes about her crazy time of getting sick and falling and becoming a national hero. Everyone reads her stories and as they read her stories they say, “I can do all things through Christ…because God has used Queen Krista..”
Queen Krista and her family lived happily ever after.
The end.
Hope all is well, thanks for writing your books and allowing God to use your talents. Praying for this new release to be used for His Kingdom Purposes. Blessings!!!
Awesome! I sure wish that was how it happened 😉
Krista, is it okay that I sent it to your Contact Me thing, or should I post it here as well? I didn’t see there was a comment section earlier (I’m a new reader and I’m new to this website). =)
Krista, just in case, I am posting it here too. =) I hope you feel better soon!
Beep beep beep.
I reach over and slap the snooze button on my alarm clock.
Five more minutes, please…or better yet another hour.
As I pull the covers over my head, something tells me that I have to get up.
That I am wanted. Needed.
I pull the covers off and sit on the edge of the bed, considering to get more sleep,
or to start the day already. I look at the clock.
7:00am.
I get up, walking to the kitchen. I eat my breakfast and once I finish, I am reminded of the
book I recently purchased last week. I haven’t been able to read it or even start it because of
how busy life has been.
But today was different. Today I actually have a restful break. I am going to take advantage of
today and read this book! I was determined.
Just in case, I checked my calendar and my daily planner to see if there was anything
I forgot to do otherwise. Nothing.
This is so strange, I thought. First I feel that I am needed, but I have nothing to do today.
Oh well.
After cleaning up the dishes, I picked up the book, sat in my favorite place on the couch, and
began to read.
I became so absorbed in the novel that, out of nowhere, I literally got sucked into the
story. I went down this huge tunnel that abruptly spit me out, forcing me to land uncomfortably
on this hard, dirt land.
“Tell me what you remember, Colleen. Are you okay?”
I open my eyes, and see a man’s face a few inches above mine. I start to regain consciousness,
and notice there is a war waging right beside us. We are on a small piece of land next to the
battle, and I am in the arms of a handsome prince, or so he appears.
“Wait, where am I? My name is Krista—Krista McGee. Who are you?”
“Oh, sorry.” He shakes his head. “Krista, my name is Prince Wigglesworth. Listen, you have to
help us fight the opposing army. If you don’t, their empire will take over ours and their plan for
this town will be fulfilled.”
“What is their plan?” I asked.
“They are going to destroy all this town has and use it for another Walmart.” His face looked
serious and concerned.
I remembered Philippians 4:13 and I felt a wave of new strength come upon me. I also
remembered earlier I felt needed.
“Let’s do this.” I finally told the handsome Prince.
As we fought, the blows of our canons made the enemy drop their weapons and run back to
their homeland in fear. It was a success! The whole town was safe because of me. Wait, I take
that back. With God’s help, the town was saved. When it was time for me to return home, Prince Wigglesworth gave me a token of his appreciation—a quill pen so I will write stories in style.
I love it!! Great story.
I fear I went over the 500 limit but I hope you enjoy it just the same. I love to write and I get a little carried away.
The humid Florida breeze blew through the open windows ruffling papers and sending dust that had settled on the ceiling fan though the room and dampening Krista McGee’s brow. She rose from bed where she had been lying typing away on her laptop for hours after putting the kids down to sleep. Krista didn’t usually open the windows after dark but she couldn’t resist the cool breeze that had swept through Tampa, now as the hours has passed it had grown warmer.
“The pleasures of living in the south,” Krista muttered to herself; her Mom had always said “If you don’t like the weather wait an hour.” That saying had taught Krista to be prepared for anything; even 80 degree temps in January.
Sweat beaded on her forehead as she reached up to pull the paned window shut. The window locked she turned to look at the bedside clock. One forty-five gleamed back in neon green in the dimmed room.
Krista saved the story she had been writing, closed her laptop and hurried into bed, knowing the kids would be up early for school. The bed felt empty without Dave who was away overnight on business. Krista hoped she could sleep, the kids would need her to be bright eyed and bushy tailed come six a.m., soon her eyes drifted shut and she was pulled into a dream about the characters she had been writing about. All too soon it was time to wake, something danced on her consciousness.
“Must be Emma calling for me to wake up,” she thought. “Did I set the alarm?” With bleary eyes Krista looked at the clock, three fifteen. What had she heard? Just then she heard a noise. Krista eased from the bed and grabbed the flashlight she kept in the dresser drawer. She was hesitant to call the police, not only because she knew it would take a long time but because she knew it was probably nothing.
“It might just be their cat Minx moving about the house.” she told herself.
Krista peeked in on the kids and they all seemed soundly asleep. She eased Thomas’s door shut and continued on down the hall towards the noise.
When she arrived in the kitchen she saw Minx poised on the counter where the contents of a bowl of fruit rolled beside him. Krista shook her head. Just as she had told herself, there was nothing to worry about. Krista, glad that she hadn’t phoned the police she turned to head back to her room but as she turned she sensed something before she felt it. Something slammed into her head, falling to the floor in agony Krista could only see black. Glass sprinkled the floor, biting into her palms as she rose to face the unknown attacker. Her vision returned only to dim again. She could feel herself losing consciousness but she fought it knowing she must protect her children.
A man dressed in all black slunk from the shadows holding a knife in his right hand that glinted in the moonlight. “Where is it?” he sneered.
“Where’s what? Please leave, take anything you want but please leave me and my family alone,” she pleaded. Out of the corner of her eye she could see the cordless phone resting in its holder. Could she reach it in time?
“Mom?” Thomas clad in his pajamas padded into the kitchen and peered at the attacker, he peered back at him and made a step towards him. Krista knew she had to act now.
“Thomas run!” she screamed, glass broke the skin on her feet but she didn’t feel it and she ran towards her son. Just then Minx darted from the counter and wrapped herself around the attackers legs tripped him, his large body couldn’t be balanced so he fell to the ground like a large tree. Krista seized the moment and grabbed the vase from the counter and slammed it into his head as he fell. More glass littered the floor and she stayed here she was.
“Thomas, hurry call the police!” Thomas ran from the room.
The Lord had protected her and her family. Soon police lights shone through the windows of her house as she sat on the couch with her children. She fingered her forehead where seven stitches had been placed. God had given her courage or it could have been so much worse.
Dave came running into the house and wrapped her in a hug!
“Are you okay?” She nodded and soon she and the children were all wrapped in Dave’s warm embrace.
The End…
Wow! Great story!
Hope you feel better! Happy Release Day!!!
I twisted the hilt in my hand, trying to get used to the sword’s weight. It wasn’t very likely that I would have to use it anyway.
“Krista! Put the sword down!” I turned from the window overlooking the castle to face my father. He swiftly removed the sword from my hands. “There are already warriors aplenty. Please let them do their job.”
I nodded, knowing that he would be going soon to join them. I didn’t want to get in the way, but really wanted to make a difference. I turned back to the window. Glancing past the castle to the field where the armies squared off, I could see the king’s gold tent.
“God, please keep them safe,” I whispered under my breath. I stood by the window long after my father left, watching. I watched the first attack. I watched our army get pushed back. I watched them charge back out. The whole time I prayed.
Screams came up from the courtyard. I tore my eyes away from the fighting and saw that we had been ambushed. The black uniforms of the enemy walked freely through the castle.
My hand went to the empty scabbard in the folds of my dress. More screams arose. I ran out of the room. A few servants rushed by seemingly unaware of my presence. My father’s room was empty when I reached it. I threw open the closet and drawers. Where was my sword? I scoured the room again. There. The hilt was just peeking out from under the bed.
My hand enclosed around the hilt of the sword as the door was flung open. I lifted my sword up to guard myself from the swift attack. The clanking sound sent chills down my back. I barely blocked the next thrust, which shred my top skirt. I don’t know how much more I could take. My arms were rattling and my grip was loosening. I backed up again and found myself against the wall. My opponent took the opportunity to bring the sword towards my neck.
“Krista!” My father charged into the room as I attempted to block the sword. Pain flashed. My sword clattered to the ground. I pressed my hands to the left side of my forehead. The blood was warm and sticky.
I prayed silently and tried to ignore the clashing of my father’s sword. When the room went silent, I felt his hand on my shoulder. “You can open your eyes now, Krista.”
I opened my eyes and tried to focus on my father’s face. “Are they gone?”
“Yes, they have all fled.” He lifted me up and walked with me to the nurses who were taking care of the wounded. Seven stitches were needed to close the wound. My father waited for me.
“You were very brave.” He handed me my sword. “Maybe you’re ready.”
I gave it back while rubbing my stitches. “I don’t think I’ll need to be brave again for a long time.”
Epic and courageous. I love it!
One bright and early morning after being frozen inside for many days like most of the country a girl named Krista decided to go see the sunshine and celebrate the release of her latest book. After many days she felt as if she had been living beneath the earth and had not seen the sky in years. While strolling along daydreaming about where the next story may take her she realized she was being followed, glancing behind her she saw three scientists trying to sneak up on her. Turning back towards home she jumped on her hoverboard (I don’t like running so couldn’t use that) to evade the doctors who wanted all copies of her book, they knew the secrets it contained and did not want all those who dwelled above ground to know the truth of the underground facility they were building. Out of no where one of the scientists threw an icicle, slicing Krista’s eye leaving a cut, but she knew she must go on, the truth must be told about the scientists plans! Seeing a snow plow coming down the road she knew what she had to do! Allowing the scientists to gain she came to a screeching halt and headed straight towards the scientists, who weren’t as brave as they appeared and backed to the curb, at just that moment the snow plow covered them in a pile of snow and Krista found a hose spraying them with water knowing that they would not defrost until her book was released and the world would know the truth. Dusting off her hands she headed home with only a cut as evidence so that she could continue to protect the story until it could be told. As people across the globe wait in anticipation Krista lives another day to protect the stories that must be told.
Yes! Love this!
Hi Ms. Krista! I wrote you as a guardian of a dragon’s apprentice! So the next time someone asks you what happened just inform them you were tending to the needs of dragons 🙂
—————————————————————————
The room began to spin and the bitter taste of blood began to fill my mouth. It seemed as if an eternity had passed since I had been called to war, and yet, I still wasn’t used to the gruesome visage of death.
I gripped the hilt of my sword and prayed that I wouldn’t lose my composure. Keeping calm was the difference between life and death for me, as well as my young ward that I was assigned to protect.
At just 12 years old, young Natalia was a prodigy at her craft and a great asset to the efforts to keep our lands safe. She was already an accomplished healer; the likes that the world hadn’t seen since the dragons still walked along side humans and provided mythical aid and wisdom to those they had bonded with.
In fact, it was the sudden signs that the dragons were planning a return to this realm that had plunged us into this mindless war. This war was being fought for fear of the unknown and pitted those that supported the return of the great dragons against those that were quite content to continue living their lives without them.
In all honesty, I wasn’t always sure which side I was on. It wasn’t until my beloved mother lay sick with fever and I was told of a healer that may be able to help, that I finally made up my mind. As talented as Natalia is, she hadn’t been able to save my mother; tried, but even the most talented of healers cannot give life nor keep it from slipping away. Only the greatest of all dragons holds life and death in its hands.
That is why I chose to fight for their freedom to return, and to protect the chosen few who showed promise as a dragon’s apprentice. Those few that proved to be exceptionally strong were at great risk from the enemy who wished to annihilate anyone who might entice or encourage the return of the dragons.
So now I stand surrounded in a small corridor by all those who wish to slay my young friend. I inhale deeply, ignoring the blood trickling down from the cut on my brow. There is no time for the stitches I will surely need; Natalia can practice her healing after I secure the area.
I can see Natalia close her eyes to shut out the carnage that surrounds her. The healer in her begs to rush to those in need; to ease their pain and to take away their hurt. My only wish is to protect her and take away the hurt and pain I can see in her eyes. I wish that I could protect her innocence and shelter her from the violence of the world.
After the stench of battle has cleared I finally allow her to tend my wounds so that I will live to protect her another day.
any way to edit? I accidentally cut a word out “she” should be in this sentence!
As talented as Natalia is, she hadn’t been able to save my mother; tried, but even the most talented of healers cannot give life nor keep it from slipping away.
I am so brave!! 🙂 Thanks!
Hope it’s alright if I write it from your point of view, krista
There I stood, out of gas in the middle of nowhere. I was on my way to a book signing when I heard the putt putt of the engine, my first clue as to where I’d be spending the next couple of hours. I rummaged through my purse, and came up with my cell phone. I prayed the two hours I spent last night talking wouldn’t have burnt the battery out. Sure enough, as I repeatedly punched the button, I still got no response. Ugh! I bang my head on the steering wheel, wishing I had filled up with gas at the town I passed nearly an hour ago. Why couldn’t God have let me get to my signing?
I took a deep breath and prayed that God would send another car that I could flag down. I squinted into the road that would be my only hope for getting to the signing on time. The empty horizon told me that I would be waiting awhile. I took the opportunity to finish my book, a mystery that had me in nail biting suspence.
An hour later, I finally spotted a cars headlights staring back at me. I thanked God and prayed that they would allow me to borrow their phone.
Lucky for me the car slowed down and a burly man with a salt and pepper beard stuck his head out the window. “Hello” I called I am all out of gas, do you have a cell phone I could borrow?”
“I just might be able to help you” the gruff voice replied.
I breathed a sigh of relief, got out of my car, and walked up to his window.”thanks so much!” I replied gratefully. ” That would be great”
As he handed me the phone, I caught a glimpse of children in the back. “Those your kids?” I asked him.
He sent a warning look in the direction of the back, and nodded. At that moment at text popped up saying ‘ Have you taken care of the kids yet? I’ve already sent the ‘ransom notes’ to the parents’ I sucked in my breath and hit end to the call to CAA. I then called 911 and said in a measured voice”Yes please come immediately. I am on highway 34 an hour north from Charlestown.”I hung up,but not before the man caught sight of the caller and lunged for the phone.
I prayed for God to give me courage and I aimed a punch at his face, sending his head into the smooth finish on the window. I cried out in pain as he retailiated, sending me crashing backwards into the granvel, where my head struck a rock and begun bleeding immediately. I felt light headed and everything was spinning for a minute. Then I remembered where I was, and came up, surprising him with a hard punch in the gut. He fell against the seat, unconscious. I stepped into the backseat to see how the kids were just as a police car and ambulance showed up. I thanked God for giving me the courage to save these children. The police barged in, then looked at the man in shock. “He is one of America’s most wanted! How did you manage to catch him?”
I smiled. “I didn’t do anything. It was all Jesus.”
Wow, that is terrific!
Hope it’s alright if I write it from your point of view, krista

Sorry I posted it twice, i accidentally double clicked.
It had started out as a normal day. My husband, David, had gone to work and our 7 year old daughter, Kylie, was at the private Christian school that she attended. My only plans were to go to the grocery store and pick up vegetables for the chicken pot pie I was making for dinner. It was early January and the Texas weather was very cold. I put on my jacket and got in the car.
As I was driving to the grocery store, I looked over and saw a bunch of cows and a bull standing near the fence by the road. As I did a double take, I noticed that a calf had gotten outside of the fence and was nearing the busy road. I had to save it!
I quickly pulled over to the side of the road. After putting the car in park, I got out and slammed the door. After doing that, I walked over to the calf and started trying to encourage it to go back toward the fence. Thinking quickly, I went back to the car and looked for food that I could use to lure the cow back to the fence. I grabbed a bag of carrots that had been left over from Kylie’s lunch the day before.
“Come here, little cow,” I called, “I have some carrots.” The cow slowly started walking toward me and my outstretched hand of baby carrots. After a minute, it gently grabbed a carrot from me. I started walking to the fence with the rest of the carrots. The cow followed me. Unfortunately, I was so focused on getting the cow back in the gate that I didn’t realize that an angry bull was quickly approaching me. Before I knew it, the bull slammed into me and one of its horns scratched my head.
“Ow,” I said. I had of get out of there. I climbed back over the fence and walked over to the car. Then, I opened up the door. I got back into my car and looked into the rearview mirror. “Oh no,” I said as I looked at my forehead, “I should probably go get this checked out.”
The next few hours involved checking into the E.R., getting stitches on my forehead, and calling David to let him know what had happened. David offered to pick Kylie up from school so that I could head straight home. I thanked him.
As I got back in the car, I realized that I had forgotten to pick up the vegetables at the grocery store. I decided to do that. After buying them, I drove home.
As I made the chicken pot pie and cleaned up the house a little, I thought back over the day’s events. It was nice to be home and I could not wait to see David and Kylie. “At least I’m not having a beef pot pie,” I thought as I pulled the pie out of the oven.
LOL! Great story!
Did my story go through last night? 🙂
Yes, it did. Thanks!
it’s Awesome about your release read Anomaly and can’t wait to read Luminary!!!
A Figure in a Dream
The roar of the alarm woke Krista as the morning light seeped through the windows. It was a morning like any other filled with teaching and other tasks that accompanied her life. But as Krista raised to a sitting position in her she couldn’t shake the peculiar dream she had in the depths of her sleep. This dream so vivid in her mind at that very moment was of another world. A realm some refer it as or a distant destination and feel far sometime out of reach. As Krista relayed the dream she found herself in this place. Surrounding her at first was darkness, and fear sprang into her heart as she dared to inch forward. Then the darkness that blanketed over her fade slowly away reveal light and lots of it. Squinting her eyes, willing them to see what’s ahead, she mustered enough courage and walked steadily in the direction she faced. Krista came to a chair. Golden embroidered seat cushion with thick gold arm rest. Confusion took it’s home in Krista as she looked from side to side, still trying to figure out where she was. For a moment, she detected a flash out of the corner of her eye. Staring back at the chair their was now a figure seated on the chair. This unidentified form was clothed entirely in white covering every part of it. Yet from what Krista saw it faintly resembled a human under the white covering. The figure moved from the chair, coming directly toward Krista. Utterly frightened and not sure what else to do she backed away from the figure approaching her. But soon it was right in front of her, mostly likely glazing at her beneath the clothing, it’s hiding place. Slowly the figure started to discard the covering that was on it. Krista waited, frozen not only in fear but in great wonder, wanting to know what laid underneath. But as she took a step closer to get a better look, Krista fell forward and all of a sudden found herself dropping , falling into nothingness. Jolting upward from the floor where she found herself. all she remembered was the dream or a dream within dream. As Krista started to get up she found blood above her eyebrow, then thought to herself “I’m going to need a Band-Aid.”
Later, Krista found out that she had been sleep walking. She had made it all the way to her from door and the fell into the door and hitting the knob as she went. Seconds after being on the ground Krista awakened. Turns out she did not only need a Band-Aid but had to get stitches. Even though her accident was slightly unexciting, the dream she had was plastered and edged into her mind. And after the whole incident was over Krista couldn’t help but wonder ,”Who was the covered figure form my dream?”
This is not a story where you are a heroine, but you are brave and courageous in a part of it. Even though this is the case I hope you like it. Sorry I entered it so late will it be considered?
Great job! Not too late at all.
Sorry there’s a few spelling mistakes:)
